On Thursday [March 5] at 5:30 p.m., Mississippi State University faculty members will gather in McCool Hall’s Taylor Auditorium to model respectful, civil discussion through a structured debate on contemporary political issues. The “Political Ideology Debate” aims to demonstrate for attendees how to engage in constructive discourse and will highlight a range of political perspectives.

“I felt deeply connected to the campus on my initial visit, so the choice to attend Mississippi State University was an easy one. I was charmed by our beautiful campus and cozy small town. I knew I wanted a large-campus experience, but I needed smaller classrooms and hands-on learning to truly succeed,” said Emily Stone, a 2019 MSU graduate. “I was eager to get involved, intern, work and gain a ton of experience. MSU and the College of Arts and Sciences gave that to me, and I credit my career growth to how much was invested in me as a student.”

Mississippi State’s Karyn Brown has been named a Public Relations Society of America Fellow, one of the profession’s highest honors, and is among just seven communication professionals nationwide selected for induction this year into the organization’s College of Fellows.
