Student Profile: Alex Forbes

Alex Forbes is a junior geosciences major with a concentration in professional meteorology and an emphasis in broadcasting from Alpharetta, Georgia. Alex chose MSU because of its esteemed broadcast meteorology program, and his favorite experiences at MSU have been working with “professional equipment that is not typically at other universities.” During his time at MSU, Forbes has been involved in the East Mississippi chapter of NWA/ AMS and the College of Arts and Sciences Ambassadors. Alex has found great mentors and friends at MSU, and he encourages incoming or prospective students to, “never be afraid to say yes to something completely random because you never know what may come of it.”
