Sierra Latrello

Sierra Latrello was a senior geosciences major with a concentration in professional meteorology and a minor in geographical information systems from Rockmart, Georgia. She chose MSU because “it is nationally recognized for its Meteorology program.” During her time at MSU Sierra served as a College of Arts and Sciences Ambassador; a member of the East Mississippi Chapter of the National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society; and she was involved in Hillel, the Jewish ministry on campus. Sierra said the most influential force for her at MSU were her professors who treated her as, “not just a statistic.” Sierra described MSU as “home.”
