Mississippi State husband and wife Greg and Becca Thorn work in two different areas of the university, but both help students discover their own voices.

Laura Álvarez was halfway through an undergraduate degree in the South American country of Colombia when her path changed. After her mother joined the Mississippi State faculty, Álvarez had the opportunity to continue her studies in Starkville. She chose to make the move—leaving a familiar academic track behind to start again at MSU and take on a new challenge.

Mississippi State University Instructor II Amy Fountain is being recognized by the Lambda Sigma Honor Society with its Jane Price Harmon Gift of Honor for more than 25 years of service and leadership within the organization.
