Mississippi State University’s Story State 2025—an annual contest aimed at sharing Mississippi stories—is open for entries for new and original stories from all students enrolled at any Mississippi institution of higher learning.

Kenneth Swan, a senior year Geosciences major student at Mississippi State University and Shackouls Honors College has earned co-author credit in a newly published journal article. The study is titled "Quantifying Tornado Outbreak Intensity and Frequency Relationships with Interannual and Monthly Variability."

A team of Mississippi State University students took first place in the group competition at the Louisiana/Mississippi (LA/MS) sectional meeting of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) in February.
