Student Profile: Torrye Evans

Torrye Evans is a senior biological sciences major from Jackson, Mississippi. During his time at MSU he has served as a Mississippi State University Biological Science Ambassadors, Foundation Ambassadors, College of Arts and Sciences Ambassadors, and as the Treasurer of Griffis Hall Council of Residential Experiences. He has also been involved in the Montgomery Leadership Program, Men of Excellence, Physicians on the Rise, Lambda Sigma National Honor Society, Service Dawgs, Black Student Association, and American Medical Student Association. Torrye said Dr. Reese, who has been his advisor since freshman year, has been an influential force for him at MSU. When asked to describe MSU in one word Torrye chose “opportunity” because he said “MSU provides the opportunity to achieve dreams and reach a level of success that few schools provide.”
