Student Profile: Sam Taylor

Sam Taylor is a senior anthropology major from Aiken, South Carolina. Sam said she chose to attend MSU over a school in her home state because, “Even though it was 8 hours away from home I had no problem coming here because it was such a good family.” During her time at MSU Sam has been served as a member of the New Marron Camp staff, Core representative, a College of Arts and Sciences Ambassador and as a volunteer for The Cobb Institute Museum of Archeology. Sam said that Dr. Shane Miller, an assistant professor in the MSU Anthropology Department, has been the most influential force for her at MSU. Sam’s advice to incoming or prospective students is, “MSU is absolutely full of opportunities… if you actively seek out these opportunities then it will return to you ten -fold.”
