Student Profile: Abbie Kate Hancock

Abbie Kate Hancock is a junior communication major with a concentration in public relations from Cullman, Alabama. Abbie Kate decided to attend MSU after the Department of Communication faculty encouraged her to visit the campus. During her time at MSU Hancock has been involved in the Public Relations Student Society of America, Lambda Sigma Honor Society, College of Arts and Sciences Ambassadors, Public Relations Association of Mississippi, Pi Beta Phi sorority, and she works as an intern for the Bulldog Club and as a student worker for the Office of the Registrar. In her free time, Abbie Kate enjoys reading a good book. She reflects on her favorite MSU memory when MSU almost beat The University of Alabama, “the most amazing thing about that game was that the whole stadium stayed after the game to sing along the alma mater and support our Bulldogs even in a disappointing loss.” Abbie Kate described MSU as being “accepting,” and she encourages incoming or prospective students “to get INVOLVED ASAP”.
