Allie Hanson

Allie Hanson was a senior chemistry major from Clifton Park, New York. Allie said that she chose MSU, after visiting 36 universities, because, “The first time I toured I got to meet professors from my department (which sounds like not a big deal but that did not happen everywhere!) and they drove us around because my dad was walking with a cane after getting his hip replaced. I also attended a football game and that really sold me!” During her time at MSU Hanson was involved in Pre-Optometry Club and Student Members of the American Chemical Society. Allie describes MSU as “rewarding” and her advice to prospective students is to, “Be a chemistry major. Or join SMACS. Or Both. Also, be sure to own an umbrella and check the weather before you go to class!”
