A rising Mississippi State junior will study abroad this summer through the prestigious Fulbright UK Summer Institute, one of the most selective summer scholarship programs in the world.

Mississippi State’s Spanish I course, taught by Instructor Chris Little in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures, is now an internationally recognized Qualify Matters-certified curriculum.

“More women now earn college degrees than men," said Rachel Allison. "While women still face barriers and challenges in the workforce, including their lower pay [compared] to men, women’s greater education may allow them to hold jobs that make homeownership more possible. There is also decreasing societal stigma to women’s singleness.”
