Mississippi State’s College of Arts and Sciences honored eight faculty members for outstanding achievements in teaching, research and service at its annual spring awards ceremony in March.

Mississippi State faculty member Joseph Thompson continues to earn widespread recognition for his groundbreaking work on the intersection of music and military history, earning an international award for his acclaimed book “Cold War Country: How Nashville’s Music Row and the Pentagon Created the Sound of American Patriotism.”

Mississippi State is recognizing 12 staff members for their exceptional dedication to service and contributions with this year’s Donald W. Zacharias Distinguished Staff Awards.
